Let’s Measure: A nursery rhyme!

The eighth challenge was a bit of a toughie. You had to make a new version, or in my case and expansion, of a nursery rhyme. Going off yesterday’s post about the swimsuits, I hit google to find nursery rhymes that deal with the body. I found one that had to do with measuring and I added the second paragraph myself. Let me know what you think! Do I have a future as a nursery rhyme writer?!?

IBMC #08: The Nursery Rhyme Challenge

You will pick a nursery rhyme and make a new interpretation of it. You are free to make edits to that rhyme and then give an interpretation. The only ultimate restriction is that there has to be rhyme and a new context to it. Let your imaginations flow.

LET’S MEASURE

Let’s measure from our head
Right down to our toes.
Let’s measure our arms,
Let’s measure our nose.
Let’s measure our legs,
Our waist, and all.
Let’s measure to see
If we have grown tall.

Let’s measure our smiles
From ear to ear
Let’s measure our love
Let’s measure our tears
Let’s measure our fun
As we play together
Let’s measure the laughs
No matter the weather
